Recent report shows that EPL giant Chelsea are reportedly leading the race to sign Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane during this summer’s transfer window.
It was noted that Varane whose current deal with Madrid expires in 14 months and with the look of things he might not get a renewal from the Spanish giant.
With the above position which look at seeing Madrid considering his sale this summer and reliable report states that Chelsea is currently leading the pursuit.
Previous report shows that Manchester United have also been linked with established Madrid man Varane but they have switched their focus after learning of the Blues’ interest on the same player.
It was noted that the Red Devils appear reluctant to enter a competitive bidding battle with any EPL club for now and as such they have turned their attention towards Sevilla’s Jules Kounde who they see as a good player too.
Based on club report it was also noted Chelsea are currently fourth in the league standings with a three-point advantage over London rivals West Ham United with the hope of making a champion league game next season.
Although the Blues still have plenty to do to finish in the top four with Manchester City, Arsenal and Leicester City to face.
