Spanish giant Real Madrid are also looking the same way with Liverpool and Manchester City but faster by initiating a transfer talks with David Alaba’s agent over the possibility of signing the Bayern Munich defender to a pre-contract at the start of 2021.
It was noted that the established defender Alaba’s contract expires in June and he is expected to leave after dispute over an extension which was not in favour of his current club.
According to report stating that the Bayern Munich Veteran’s current deal at the Allianz Arena is due to expire next June with a number of top clubs ready to be linked with his services over the last few months.
David Alaba is reportedly in talks with Real Madrid over a move to the Bernabeu this summer after his contract dispute with Bayern Munich failed to work.
The 28-years-old defender’s demand which was not accepted by Bayern stating that his demand is too much for now and they are ready to upload him if he fails to agree on an extension before his contract expires.
Report from football scout are of the opinion that Liverpool and Manchester City are among the EPL clubs who is on the parking order to acquire his service but Spanish Giant Madrid are said to be heading the queue wit a pre-contract talk with the player’s agent.
An unconfirmed report is claiming that the defender’s agent Pini Zahavi had contacted Madrid to determine whether the Spanish champions would be interested in his client which is currently going out of contract very soon.
It must be noted that Alaba claimed that he was not made aware of Bayern’s withdrawal of a second contract offer and he is willing to accept an extension if a further 4-years deal is in place with a 15 million euros annual salary is included on the terms.
Quoting the player saying that
“I am glad to be playing for Bayern, and to be a part of the team. But what the future will look like after yesterday evening I just cannot say, as no one has talked to me officially.”
With Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic trying to shed light on the current situation of the player saying
“I can tell you what happened. We negotiated and made David an offer. He refused it. Ten days ago we sat down again and submitted another offer – with a deadline,”
“We informed David and his agent that we would withdraw the offer when the deadline expired. We did that. I spoke to his agent again on Saturday and tried to talk to David again on Sunday because I wanted to know what was going on, but not much happened.
“I don’t know anymore how we will find a way back together. We made an offer and it was rejected. Now we have to assume that David will leave us.”
Based on club statistics saying that Alaba remains a key figure for Bayern irrespective of the speculation surrounding his future currently with the club with nine appearances for the treble winners during the 2020-21 campaign added to his profile.
Further observation also shows that Juventus have also been linked with the versatile defender but are more concerned when he become a free agent.
