Artivion is seeking a Finance Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in supporting our financial systems and processes. This position ensures that our financial systems, including Workday Adaptive Insights and Blackline, are effectively aligned with business needs and compliant with regulatory standards. The Finance Data Analyst will collaborate closely with team members in Finance/FP&A and the IT department to achieve these goals.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Systems Maintenance
Assist with tasks such as user creation, master data management, and the opening/closing of periods and versions for control management.
Support system preparation activities, including month-end close preparation, system access for projections and budgeting, and loading foreign exchange rates.
Data Integrity & Compliance
Help develop and maintain standards for database integrity and communication processes with other departments regarding database enhancements.
Conduct detailed data research and analysis on large financial data sets from various sources.
Investigate and resolve data quality issues to ensure compliance.
Process Improvement
Apply creative thinking to develop optimal solutions for complex problems.
User Support & Training
Serve as a point of contact for finance teams regarding system issues, enhancements, and best practices.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into data requirements.
Work with IT teams to develop and maintain data solutions.
Create and update user-friendly documentation for data models, metrics, and reporting.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.
MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CMA, CPA) preferred.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in business reporting, corporate finance, FP&A, or a related field.
Experience in a publicly traded company, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
Knowledge of data mining and transformation.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of Planning and ERP systems (e.g., Workday Adaptive Insights, Microsoft Navision, SAP) is required.
Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Qlik) is a plus.
Proficiency in handling large data sets.
Effective communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on maintaining financial data integrity.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
