Man Utd Says Burnley striker Wout Weghorst not in our plan

Report have shown that Manchester United don’t plan to sign Burnley striker Wout Weghorst on a permanent basis this summer.

He has since struggled with just one goal and one assists from 10 outings, and has been playing as a central midfielder lately.

It is now reported by Football Insider that the club don’t plan to pursue a long-term deal for Weghorst after recent displays.

While Erik ten Hag has heaped praise on Weghorst’s high pressing, the hierarchy don’t see value for money in re-signing him.

Instead, they are prepared to save the funds for the purchase of a marquee striker. Victor Osimhen is one of their main targets.

Although the Nigerian has been a revelation for Napoli this term with 19 goals and has helped them steer clear of everyone in Serie A.

He could be available for around €120m this summer.
