Just now it was noted that Borussia Dortmund are set to complete the signing of right-back Julian Ryerson from Union Berlin, according to multiple reports in Germany.
Borussia Dortmund have reacted to Thomas Meunier’s injury by bringing in a new right-back. Union Berlin’s Julian Ryerson is set to join the Black and Yellows after they met his release clause of five million euros.
Although the 25 year old will undergo his medical check today, and the transfer will be announced very soon. According to Sky Sport, Ryerson will sign a three and a half year contract with Borussia Dortmund.
Julian Ryerson is primarily a right-back, but he is also capable of playing at left-back or as a wing-back. The Norwegian international has been enjoying an impressive season with Union Berlin. Brighton and Hove Albion and a number of clubs in Italy were also interested in signing him. But Borussia Dortmund appear to have won the race for his signature.

Ryerson could make his Borussia Dortmund debut this weekend as they take on FC Augsburg in their first Bundesliga game of the new year. His arrival will give Edin Terzic’s side some much needed depth at right-back, with Thomas Meunier set to be sidelined for the next six weeks and Mateu Morey still recovering from his knee injury.
