Erling Braut Haaland not interested in Manchester City contract offer

Report have shown that Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland has reportedly rejected a contract offer from Manchester City.

With the Norway international expected to leave his German club during this summer’s transfer window, and Man City are believed to be at the head of the queue for his signature for now

It must be noted that Haaland has turned down a contract offer of €28m (£23.3m) net per season from the Premier League champions, as he is holding out for a higher salary which he believes will come from Spanish club.

With the report on ground claiming that the 21-year-old has always prioritised playing in Spain and wants to speak to both Barcelona and Real Madrid over potential summer moves to La Liga.

Although Haaland will have a £67m release clause in his Dortmund contract this summer, but the overall cost of the deal could reach £300m, including agent fees and his wage packet.

The forward has again been in strong form for his German club during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring 23 goals in 23 appearances in all competitions, in addition to contributing six assists.

Since arriving at Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020, the Norwegian has netted 80 goals and registered 21 assists in 83 appearances and with this report we have to say that he is a playmaker
