Arsenal set to sign Portuguese Benfica defender

Report reaching our studio shows that Arsenal have reportedly won the race to sign Benfica defender Nuno Tavares this summer.

It was noted that the Gunners recently opened negotiations with the Portuguese outfit and they have now agreed on the transfer fee for the defender

Based on the information supplied by Fabrizio Romano which shows that the north London club have finalised a transfer package of £8 million for the left-back.

Based on the agreement which shows that they will pay an initial £6.8m for his services and it was noted that Tavares has already agreed personal terms over a five-year contract for the new contract.

Based on the agreement it was also noted that the left-back is set to become the club’s first signing of the transfer window, and there could be plenty of more arrivals as the day progresses.

The Gunners are reportedly on the verge of landing Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga for around £17m.

Based on footbal scout information showing that the Gunner are in advanced negotiations with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign defender Ben White which is believed to cost them £50m.
