Report from our Sport correspondant shows that Manchester United is planning to fend off interest from two premier league giant from acquiring the service of RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate in the going summer transfer window.

It was noted that since United failed in bringing in a new centre-back in the past two transfer windows which has lead to the United Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make a key issue to fill in that position in the summer.

Major report shows that United were linked with a move for Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano initially before he finally agreed a move to Bayern Munich but United Boss has also included Sevilla’s Jules Kounde among the player to consider in future.

With the incoming summer transfer windows United have been seriously credited with another player from RB Leipzig which is Upamecano’s teammate Konate but there are similar report saying that the player is also monitored by two EPL giant which are Chelsea and Liverpool.

According to previous report showing that the Chelsea,Liverpool and Manchester United where all linked with a move for Upamecano before his departure Bayern and now they all have turned their wings to Konate which shows that United is prepared to battle anybody for his signature.

Club report shows that the 21-year-old defender is still under contract at Leipzig until the end of the 2022-23 campaign and same report shows that a €45m (£39m) release clause was associated to his deal.
