I AM PREPARED TO FIGHT FOR A PLACE IN CHELSEA SAY OLIVER GIROUD

Based on report from France international Olivier Giroud saying that he has no plans of leaving the Blues irrespective of interest from the Old lady Juventus.

The 33-year-old Frenchman is currently contracted with the Blues until the summer of 2021 based on his contract signing but his future has been speculated after the recent arrival of Timo Werner according to sport reporters

It is believed that Werner could find himself leading the line next season, but report from media house like Standard Sport claims that the former Arsenal man is prepared to fight for his Blues future rather than pursuing a fresh challenge which he believes is not realistic.

Club report stated that Giroud started the previous season as the third-choice striker behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi. However, he managed to jump ahead of both in the pecking order during the backend of the campaign to stand as a leadingĀ  striker as the season progress.

With the coming of Werner, Sport Analyst believes his chances of starting upfront may be reduced, but reports suggest that he is committed to the club on and off the playing field as a senior squad member.

Chelsea who started the 2020/21 Premier League season with an away trip to Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday night. Werner and Kai Havertz are expected to make their competitive debuts as the league progresses.
