Healthcare Data Analyst III Remote - United StatesWe are seeking a skilled professional to leverage their expertise in data analytics, programming, and critical thinking to provide advanced analytic support and strategic insights. This role involves guiding research from conception to completion, including study design, data collection, effort estimation, and analytic strategies. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality data products through programming and mentoring junior staff. You will work closely with research teams to set goals, make decisions, and support high-profile projects for both internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis: Perform complex data extraction, manipulation, and summarization of large databases to create analytical datasets. Provide a range of solutions to support research activities.
Project Leadership: Take the lead in designing, testing, validating, analyzing, and merging complex data structures from diverse source systems.
Communication: Effectively communicate complex analytical and technical information, results, and recommendations to research teams and adapt presentations for varying levels of technical and clinical expertise.
Phenotype Algorithms: Lead the development of complex phenotype algorithms and manage significant tasks related to data analysis.
Strategic Partnership: Act as a strategic partner for investigators by identifying key areas and priorities based on analytic insights and data analysis.
Research Methodology: Utilize extensive knowledge of research methodology and data collection to drive discussions with clients and team members.
Educational Role: Educate requesters about complexities associated with data requests and guide them through the process.
Programming and Management: Oversee all phases of SAS/SQL programming, data management, quality control, and reporting. Ensure accuracy, data integrity, and validity of data and analysis.

Work is typically performed in an office or remote setting.
Accountable for meeting job obligations and adhering to organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (equates to 2 years of relevant experience).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience with large, complex EHR datasets and SQL/SAS programming is highly preferred. Healthcare data analysis experience is essential.
Skills: Expertise in SQL and/or SAS programming, with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Experience with Epic’s Clarity models is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications

2-3+ years of experience building clinical healthcare data from extensive EHR datasets.
At least 5 years of SQL or SAS programming experience (SQL preferred).
Certification and Licenses

Relevant certifications and licenses as required by the role.

Compensation

Base salary ranges from $72,000 to $185,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, and location.
