About the Opportunity
Jerry is revolutionizing car ownership with its first AllCar™ super app, addressing every aspect of car management – from insurance and buying/selling to registration, loans, safety, repairs, and parking. Launched in 2019, our platform has expanded from insurance to include loan refinancing, real-time driving insights, a repair marketplace, car diagnostics, and a GenAI-powered chatbot. With over 5M customers, $240MM in funding, and a 40X revenue increase, we’ve grown to a team of 250 across 7 countries.
As a Senior Data Engineer at Jerry, you’ll leverage your expertise in infrastructure scaling to lead the development of a robust data solution that will support our exponential growth. You’ll work closely with data engineers, analysts, and scientists in a mission-driven environment focused on excellence.
How You Will Make an Impact
Build Data Pipelines: Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and cross-functional teams (Marketing, Operations, Finance) to develop pipelines that deliver crucial data and insights to fuel business growth while ensuring data accuracy and availability.
Optimize Predictive Models: Work with data scientists and machine learning engineers to enhance and integrate critical predictive models.
Enhance Application Data: Partner with software engineers and data scientists to create and refine data pipelines that process application data.
Define Standards: Set data engineering standards and best practices to drive operational excellence.
Maintain Infrastructure: Perform ongoing maintenance and optimization of our data infrastructure to ensure stability and efficiency.
Ideal Profile
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: 5+ years in a data engineering role or similar, with a track record of effective communication with database users, software engineers, and senior management.
Skills:
Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL pipeline development.
Proficiency with column-based databases (e.g., Amazon Redshift, ClickHouse) and integration with analytical platforms (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Power BI).
Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, ClickHouse, Redshift, Snowflake).
Hands-on experience with process automation and deployment of advanced machine learning models.

Base Salary: $81,000/yr – $218,000/yr
