According to reports, Manchester City will need to pay at least £75 million to secure the signing of RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol this summer. The Premier League champions are keen on adding a center-back to their squad, especially with the uncertain future of Aymeric Laporte, who is reportedly frustrated with his lack of game-time.

Gvardiol, the talented Croatian international, has caught the eye of City, including manager Pep Guardiola, following an impressive campaign in Germany and a notable performance at the World Cup earlier this season. The 21-year-old made 41 appearances for Leipzig, even scoring a goal against City in the Champions League last-16 tie in February.
While RB Leipzig is willing to part ways with their prized defender, TalkSPORT reports that they will demand a fee exceeding £75 million. This valuation is more than four times the £16 million they initially paid for him three years ago. With Gvardiol under contract until 2027, the German club faces little pressure to compromise on their asking price.

In other news, French outlet Footmercato reveals that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has made two swap proposals to City involving Marco Verratti and Gianluigi Donnarumma in exchange for Bernardo Silva.
