Report shows that Manchester City have reportedly moved quick to try and land upcoming Croatian star Luka Vuskovic amid interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

There are suggestions that the reigning Premier League champions are the first club to formally make an offer. City’s apparent offer is a £10million initial lump sum with a further £2million made up in add-ons.

Many top sides around the world are continuing to monitor Vuskovic and ‘fierce competition’ is developing for his services, according to The Athletic.

Although Vuskovic’s current side are reportedly considering the offer, however, have made no decisions on whether to accept as they wait to assess rival bids.

The youthful centre-back was recently promoted to Hadjuk Split’s first-team after impressive performances for the club’s youth team, most notably in the Youth Champions League.

He has since managed five appearances for the second-placed Croatian top-flight team and scored one senior goal since being called-up.

It must be noted that Vuskovic is represented by well-known Israeli football agent Pini Zahavi, who previously helped Roman Abramovich to purchase Chelsea in the early 2000s.

The youngster could join Man City in the summer but it is expected he would first join the club’s top-grade academy and not thrust into Pep Guardiola’s first-team of superstars.

He made his professional debut in the Croatian First League just two days after his 16th birthday in a local derby against Dinamo Zagreb.

That outing additionally made him the youngest player to ever feature in the league.

His elder brother Mario Vuskovic currently plays for Hamburg in the Bundesliga 2 and could help shape his sibling’s future in the sport.
