Based on Gerard Romero report saying that Barcelona and Inigo Martinez have reached an agreement over a transfer in the summer. However, the completion of the move will depend on the club’s Financial Fair Play situation.
Although Martinez will become a free agent at the end of the ongoing season as his contract with Athletic Club is set to run down.
A move to Barcelona has been speculated since last summer and it might finally go through this time out.
Recent reports had suggested that an agreement was very close between the two parties, and now Gerard Romero is stating that Barça and Martinez have everything agreed over a free transfer at the end of the season.
However, there is a small caveat, as the move will only be completed if the Blaugrana are able to resolve their Financial Fair Play problems.

But there seems to be confidence within the player’s camp about the move going through as Romero himself reported earlier today that Martinez’s wife was already in Barcelona looking for houses.
A seasoned campaigner, the 31-year-old has plenty of experience at this level and would also bring an added element of leadership should he join Barça in the summer.
Furthermore, the fact that he is a left-footed centre-half will also be an advantage, considering that Xavi Hernandez only has right-footed central defenders at his disposal currently.
It must be noted that Martinez had also been attracting interest from Atletico Madrid, while some clubs in England and Italy had also been keen. However, the defender has prioritised a transfer to Barcelona and as things stand, he looks set to arrive at the club come summer if there are no FFP issues.
