Analysis have shown that Manchester United will have to break their transfer record by a significant margin to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

Although the Red Devils have their sights on landing a marquee striker this summer and Osimhen is the top name on their wishlist.

The Nigerian star has been in superb form this campaign and he has already netted 16 goals from just 14 Serie A matches.

It was previously reported that United could sign him for £107 million but Napoli have now raised their asking price.

Napoli owner Aurelio de Laurentiis has no debts at the club and he is only willing to lose Osimhen for £133 million.

It remains to be seen whether United will pay such a staggering fee to land the 24-year-old, who is also on the radar of Chelsea.

United’s current record signing is Paul Pogba from Juventus for £89m. They will need to break that feat by £44m to land Osimhen.

Osimhen reportedly has the dream of playing in the Premier League.
