Anthony Gordon of EvertonReport have shown that Nottingham Forest are reportedly among several clubs interested in Everton forward Anthony Gordon.

It was noted that the Reds added to their forward ranks on Friday as Newcastle striker Chris Wood arrived on loan, with an obligation to buy for £15m in the summer, if certain conditions are met. However, Steve Cooper ’s side have been linked with bringing in further reinforcements as Forest look to keep well clear of the relegation zone.

Gordon was a breakthrough star for Everton last term as he made 35 league appearances, with the 21-year-old’s performances reportedly prompting a £60m bid from Chelsea in the summer. Despite turning down a big-money offer for the academy graduate just a few months ago, Everton are claimed to have changed their stance on Gordon’s future at the club.

The England u21 international enjoyed a bright start to the campaign, scoring twice in his first five league games, but his fortunes seem to have faded alongside Frank Lampard’s ailing side. The Toffees are sat 19th in the table and Gordon, through a combination of poor form and illness, has started just one of the club’s six league games.

It has been reported by 90min that Everton are now “considering approaches” for Gordon as the club look to freshen up their forward options. Forest are named as a possible destination, alongside Newcastle, Leicester City and Aston Villa. The quartet are said to have all made “enquiries” regarding Gordon’s availability this month.
