Although the 29-year-old, who turns 30 in July, will enter the final 12 months of his contract at the end of the season, and talks over extending his current deal are yet to have taken place.

Although Spurs have somewhat underperformed under Antonio Conte so far this season, Kane has continued his prolific form in front of goal, netting 15 goals in 20 Premier League appearances.

It must be noted that the England skipper has scored a total of 265 goals in 414 games across all competitions for Tottenham and is just one goal away from drawing level with Jimmy Greaves as the club’s all-time record goalscorer.

Kane is regarded as one of the world’s best strikers, but he is yet to win a single trophy for club or country and it has been suggested that he may seek pastures new as he enters the prime years of his career.

According to The Mail, Man United are plotting a ‘mega summer swoop’ to recruit Kane, with head coach Erik ten Hag prioritising the signing of a new centre-forward ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
