According to report saying that Arsenal are reportedly still interested in signing Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic.

Although the Gunners are currently enjoying a fantastic campaign, holding a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League standings.

It must be noted that Mikel Arteta was dealt a blow during the World Cup when Gabriel Jesus sustained a knee injury, an issue which is expected to keep the Brazilian sidelined until March.

As it stands now , Arteta is reliant on Eddie Nketiah down the middle of his attack, and the Englishman is, so far, delivering with four goals in as many games since the resumption of domestic action.

Nevertheless, Arsenal intend to sign at least one attacking player during the January transfer window, their focus currently on trying to negotiate a deal with Shakhtar Donetsk for winger Mykhyalo Mudryk.

If that transfer goes through for a fee potentially in excess of £70m, Arsenal will not have the financial firepower to make another high-profile addition in that area of the pitch in the short term.

That said, according to Calciomercato, via La Repubblica, Arsenal are still admirers of Juventus frontman Vlahovic.

Although Serbia international has just completed a year in Turin, contributing 16 goals and four assists from his 36 appearances in all competitions.

Vlahovic is currently playing his part in an unforeseen Juventus resurgence, Massimiliano Allegri’s side shooting up to second spot in Serie A courtesy of eight successive wins.

However, an early exit from the Champions League and ongoing off-the-field issues means that big-money exits cannot be ruled out should a suitable offer arrive in one of the upcoming transfer windows.

The report adds that Bayern Munich have ‘also been working’ on Vlahovic’s future arrival as they bid to find a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who departed for Barcelona in the summer.

Vlahovic penned a contract with Juventus until the end of 2025-26 when he left Fiorentina for his current team for a fee in the region of €70m 12 months ago.

Juve’s other forward options are Arkadiusz Milik and Moise Kean, the pair netting five and four times in Italy’s top flight this season compared to Vlahovic’s return of six strikes.
