Report reaching our news studio have shown that Paris Saint-Germain have officially confirmed that Kylian Mbappe has signed a new contract at the club until the summer of 2025.
Although the World Cup winner was initially due to become a free agent at the end of the season and was widely expected to complete a free transfer to Spanish giant Real Madrid this month.
But it was believed that PSG refused to give up hope of extending Mbappe’s contract at the Parc des Princes, and the French champions tabled an astronomical offer to the forward to enable him to stay with the club.
Earlier on Saturday, news of Mbappe’s new three-year deal in the French capital emerged, and PSG have now confirmed that the ex-Monaco starlet has penned fresh terms with the champion league club.
Withness shows that Mbappe appeared on the pitch with president Nasser Al-Khelaifi ahead of Saturday’s Ligue 1 clash with Metz holding up a 2025 jersey, and the 23-year-old is excited to “make magic” at the club.
Speaking on his own words saying “I would like to announce that I have chosen to extend my contract at Paris Saint-Germain, and of course I am delighted,” Mbappe told the official PSG website.
“I am convinced that here I can continue to grow at a club that provides everything necessary to perform at the highest level. I am also delighted to continue to play in France, the country where I was born, where I have grown up and where I have made my name.
“I would like to thank the President, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, for his trust, his understanding and his patience. I would also like to thank all the fans of Paris Saint-Germain, both in France and around the world, for their support, especially in recent months. Together, side by side and ambitious, we will make magic in Paris.”
President Al-Khelaifi added: “Kylian’s commitment to PSG represents an amazing milestone in the history of our Club, and a wonderful moment for our fans around the world.
“Since the day Kylian joined our family, he has achieved greatness beyond his years on every single stage. In committing to PSG, he will be the foundation of our Club’s future both on and off the field.
