Report shows that the respected German defender Antonio Rudiger is reportedly prepared to negotiate a new long-term contract with the blues.

The centre-back has been in a contract stand-off with the Blues management based on his high demand on a renewal.

It was noted that the German previously snubbed a £140,000-a-week offer. He is eyeing at least £200,000-a-week to extend his stay with the champion league winner.

But it was also noted that the Blues’ hierarchy have yet to meet his demands, but they are now ready to make an improved proposal to keep the player in their squad.

Based on club statistics showing that Rudiger has entered the final six months of his deal, and he can sign a pre-contract with a foreign club if he wishes.

Although Paris Saint-Germain have already made an offer, but it is now reported that Rudiger prefers to continue with the Blues where he feels he is safe for now.

He is now willing to re-enter the negotiable table with the Blues, and there is optimism that his contract will be extended based on both parties agreement.

The European champions are also in talks with Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta whose deals expire next summer.
