In respect of the current report as gathered by our correspondent showing that West Ham United reportedly need to pay £10m to sign Liverpool defender Nathaniel Phillips in this January.

It was noted that the centre-back played a key role in the Reds’ top-four finish last season after injuries to several first-choice defenders.

However, he has yet to make a league appearance this season. He is currently out for a few weeks with a broken cheekbone as observed.

Other report from other reputable media houses also shows that the reds are prepared to part ways with Phillips when the transfer window reopens next month.

They prefer to sanction his sale on a permanent basis and won’t entertain any loan offers in the upcoming transfer window.

It is added that the club could accept offers of around £10m. The Hammers are touted to make a move for his services.

The east London outfit are without Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna with injuries. The latter is out for the season.

With club manager David Moyes who is desperate to bolster the backline in January, and Phillips is reportedly one of the top names on his radar.
