Information gathered by our respected reporter states Chelsea are negotiating a player-plus-cash deal to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.
Although it was previously observed that the Frenchman was previously linked with a move to
Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month, but he rejected them due to sporting reasons which was personal known to him.
According to inhouse report showing that the centre-back wanted the assurance of Champions League football which was why he rejected the offer.
He now appears on the verge of signing for the Blues who are better more positioned then spurs.
It must be noted that talks are at advanced stage between the clubs. Zouma will be included as a makeweight in the deal for Kounde if the deal must pass through.
Football information shows that Kounde is widely regarded as one of the best centre-backs in La Liga, and he has impressed with his all-round defensive ability.
He is exceptionally good in the air despite his height of 1.78m. The 22-year-old also prefers to carry the ball forward regularly.
Kounde is set to become the Blues’ first marquee signing of the summer. They are also on the cusp of landing Marcus Bettinelli if all goes well.
