Just recently it was noted by Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar saying that he is willing to extend his contract with the clubs after a willing movement to Barcelona failed last summer
The Brazilian’s playmaker whose long-term future at Paris Saint-Germain has been a subject of consistent doubt because of his willingness to plan a return to his former club Barcelona.
Many report have shown that the Brazillian international made a lot of attempt to switch back to Camp Nou throughout the summer, but with the current financial nature of Barcelona and the heavy impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the Spanish Giant which had lead to the playmaker considering staying with his current club.
With the financial position of the Spanish Giant which had lead to Blaugrana attempting to negotiate a pay cut for all their player so as to decrease their wage bill by £170m especially in the period of COVID-19 crisis.
Report from other media houses as confirmed by us also states that Neymar has accepted that a return to Camp Nou is is not possible for now and the 28-year-old playmaker is now hopeful of penning a new five-year deal with PSG which will allow him stay more with the club beyond 2022.
Judging from the various report showing that the extension of contract by the Brazilian may be closer now as Neymar has already informed PSG of his willingness to sign a new contract and these has lead to him finally closing the door on a return to Barcelona for now.
It must be noted that with these decision taken by the Brazilian which might lead to many fans of the the Catalan giants disappointed as they always see him as an ideal player that might replace the legendary Lionel Messi.
Although the 28-year-old remains a world class talent in the eyes of all the European scout and managers but many still believes that it is a shame he left Barca when he did.
However, with a new deal in process and with the current nature of the corona Virus still changing the financial nature of all european clubs, it is believe that Neymar might not see an increase inhis current wage when a new contract is processed as the former Barca man set to pocket £32.4m a year in the French capital already.
Football scout believes that the Brazilian salary demands might also make a move to the Spanish giant unrealistic as a result of the current financial crisis in Barcelona..
Based on current club report stating that Neymar already has three goals and three assists to his name in all competitions this new season with a total 72 goals in 89 games for PSG since his arrival from Barcelona.
